About Community Service Concierge
Community Service Concierge (CSC) helps corporations and nonprofits turn good intentions into meaningful social impact. For companies, that means corporate social impact strategy, employee volunteer programs, community service events, give-back team building activities, nonprofit partnerships, or simply helping you figure out where to start. For nonprofits, we provide hands-on support around growth, corporate partnerships, funding, program development, and operational strategy.
In short: you bring the desire to make a difference. We help figure out the best way to make it happen.
We believe a service event should be a starting point, not the finish line.
A great experience certainly matters, but so does what happens before and after it. We help participants understand the issue, connect with the nonprofit and cause, understand why their work matters, and see the impact their efforts created through our Social Impact Journey framework. Sometimes that means a single well-designed activity. Other times it means building context beforehand and extending engagement afterward.
We work with corporations, social impact and CSR teams, HR and People teams, meeting and event planners, Employee Resource Groups, executive assistants, destination management companies, nonprofits, foundations, and other organizations looking to create meaningful community impact. Whether you’re a seasoned social impact professional or someone who was just told, “Can you find us a give-back activity?” — we can help.

Getting Started
Absolutely. In fact, that’s one of our favorite places to start.
Tell us about your group, your goals, your location, your timeframe, your budget, and anything else that’s important to you. We can recommend an existing experience, source local volunteer opportunities, identify nonprofit partners, or design something completely new around what you’re trying to accomplish. You don’t need to come to us with the answer. That’s what we’re here for.
Tell us what you’re trying to accomplish. Some of our best programs begin with a client need that doesn’t fit neatly into an existing activity. If there’s a meaningful way to connect your people, your objectives, and a community need, we’ll help figure it out.
Start with a conversation. Tell us a little about your organization, your people, what you’re trying to accomplish, and where you’re getting stuck. You don’t need a fully developed idea, a nonprofit already selected, or even a specific cause area. We’ll help you figure out the next step.
Programs & Activities
Our programs span a wide range of social impact areas, including:
- Hunger relief and food insecurity
- Youth mentorship and empowerment
- STEM education
- Financial literacy
- Workforce equity
- Children’s basic needs
- Energy poverty and sustainability
- Clean water access
- Global health and independence
- Disaster preparedness
Some experiences involve building or creating something tangible, such as solar lights, bicycles, coding computers, water filters, prosthetic hands, or comfort items. Others are built around mentoring, education, problem solving, simulations, or direct interaction with community organizations. Check out our options here!
Customization is a big part of what we do. We can build around your company’s values, philanthropic priorities, meeting theme, audience, industry, location, desired beneficiary, time available, or business objectives. Sometimes we adapt an existing program, sometimes we start from a blank sheet of paper. Our favorite question from a client is often: “I wonder if there’s an event that could…”
It depends on the experience, but our programs can work for everything from relatively small teams of 10-20 to large conferences and company-wide gatherings of thousands. We can also design programs for multiple offices or locations.
We support social impact experiences across the United States and around the world, and virtually. Depending on the program, we may facilitate the experience directly, partner with a local nonprofit or implementing organization, source opportunities in your event destination, or provide materials and resources that allow your team to activate the experience independently.
Definitely. Community Service Concierge can help with:
- Social impact strategy development
- Employee volunteer programs
- Days of Service
- Social Impact Playbooks
- Give Back Guides
- Employee-led programming
- Nonprofit partnership development
- Impact measurement and reporting
- Pre- and post-event employee engagement
- Ongoing giving and volunteer campaigns
Sometimes a single event is exactly what you need. Other times it’s the first step toward something much bigger.
Yes. Some experiences can be delivered in a DIY format, and we also develop customized guides, facilitation tools, curricula, and playbooks that enable employees to confidently lead social impact activities themselves.
That’s especially valuable for companies with distributed offices, ERGs, local volunteer champions, or teams that want to scale a program without requiring outside facilitation every time.
The Social Impact Journey
The Social Impact Journey is our approach to making sure community service doesn’t begin and end on event day. We look at every experience in three phases:
Before — Build Context: Help employees understand the cause, nonprofit partner, community need, and purpose behind the experience.
During — Activate Service: Create an intentional, engaging activity that connects your people, your company’s values, and the needs of the community.
After — Extend Impact: Capture results, share the story, reflect on the experience, strengthen the nonprofit relationship, and give employees meaningful ways to stay involved.
Organizations can start with our “Essentials” tier or build a much deeper engagement around the experience. We can talk you through the options.
Yes; because the impact shouldn’t disappear when everyone leaves the room. Depending on the engagement, we can help develop impact recaps, employee communications, executive talking points, intranet or newsletter content, social media posts, reflection tools, leadership summaries, CSR/ESG reporting language, impact stories, and ongoing engagement plans.
The goal isn’t simply to say, “We volunteered.” It’s to clearly communicate what changed because your team showed up.
Nonprofit Partnerships
Yes; and the nonprofit relationship is an important part of the experience.
We work to ensure that every activity serves a real community need, rather than creating something simply because it makes for a good corporate event. We vet potential nonprofit partners for operational capacity, alignment with the cause area, and their ability to meaningfully use the support provided, whether that’s funds, materials, or volunteer time. Depending on the program, we can identify and vet nonprofit partners, coordinate beneficiary participation, connect your team directly with an organization, and help develop longer-term partnership opportunities. Some of our activities are specifically designed to give back to international nonprofits as well.
Yes. Our Social Impact Activity Sourcing service is designed specifically for organizations that need the right opportunity but don’t need full event management.
You tell us your location, date, team size, cause interests, budget, and other priorities. We research and vet potential opportunities and provide a curated shortlist of options that fit. Once you select the best match, we’ll connect you with the implementing organization to move forward.
Yes. Our nonprofit consulting work focuses on helping organizations do more of the important work they’re already doing. Support can include organizational growth and planning, operational systems, donor and funding strategies, corporate partnership development, outreach, proposal and collateral development, and innovative program design.
Because we work on both sides of the corporate–nonprofit relationship, we bring an understanding of what each side needs to create partnerships that actually work.
For Meeting and Event Planners
Absolutely. We regularly work as an extension of meeting planning companies, incentive travel companies, and destination management companies. We can source local opportunities, recommend activities, develop custom concepts, manage nonprofit relationships, facilitate the experience, or handle the entire social impact component of a meeting or event.
Bring us into the conversation early, and we’ll help determine what makes sense for the audience, destination, agenda, and client’s objectives.
Timeline, Pricing & Strategy
Pricing typically runs as little as $40 per person up to $350 per person, depending on group size, the type of activity and materials involved, whether it’s DIY or fully facilitated, shipping and location, and the level of customization. Rather than push a predetermined package, we’ll talk through what you’re trying to accomplish and recommend an approach that makes sense for both your goals and your budget.
For team building activities, we like to have a confirmed program 5–8 weeks out from your event date, depending on the activity. For larger programs, such as a company-wide Day of Service, we recommend reaching out 4-5 months in advance. That said, we know social impact requests don’t always arrive with that much notice. If you’re working with a shorter timeline, reach out anyway. We’ll tell you what’s realistically possible and help identify the best path forward.
Yes. We can help define a social impact strategy aligned with your company’s values, business priorities, employee interests, and community needs, and then help you actually put that strategy into action.
That might include identifying focus areas, building a program framework, creating internal resources, selecting nonprofit partners, designing employee experiences, developing measurement strategies, training employee ambassadors or creating a roadmap for long-term engagement.
A give-back team building activity combines a hands-on group experience (like building solar lights, assembling water filters, or packing care kits) with a philanthropic outcome that benefits a real nonprofit or community in need. Unlike a standard team building exercise, the goal isn’t just collaboration or fun; it’s tangible impact your team can see and feel.
CSR event planning is the process of designing a corporate event (whether a single team activity, a company-wide Day of Service, or an ongoing volunteer program) around a company’s social impact goals. It typically includes selecting a cause area, identifying or vetting a nonprofit partner, designing the activity itself, and communicating the results internally and externally.
An employee volunteer program is an ongoing structure that gives employees regular opportunities to give back, whether through scheduled volunteer days, skills-based volunteering, ERG-led initiatives, or company-wide service campaigns. CSC helps companies design, launch, and sustain these programs over time.
